Christopher D. Mann, 35, of 868 Southampton Road, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $50. In a separate case also brought by Westfield police, Mann also submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of intimidating a witness and that charge was also continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $90 and pleaded guilty to a second charge of assault and battery. He was also placed on probation for one year for that charge.
Matthew T. Beattie, 38, of 78 Dana St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of negligent operation of a motor vehicle and malicious damage to a motor vehicle valued more than $250 brought by State Police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $50 and ordered to pay restitution of $1,929.96.
Alfred W. Jasmin, 66, of 189 Springfield Road, in 12 cases brought by Westfield police, was arraigned on nine charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, three charges of breaking and entering a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, eight charges of larceny of property valued more than $250 and three charges of attempting to commit a crime. He was released on his personal recognizance in all cases and is scheduled to return to court for pretrial hearings on June 13. Jasmin is accused of complicity in a series of house breaks for which Christopher D. Moll, 45, formerly of 2063 Memorial Drive, Chicopee, has already been charged.
John H. Tersavich, 25, of 61 Berkshire Ave., Southwick, was released on his personal recognizance pending a May 7 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to stop for police, operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection sticker and possession of a Class E drug brought by Southwick police.
Anthony R. Ramirez, 47, of 119 Berkshire Drive, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $90.
Byron Stradford, 52, of 73 Kensington Ave., Springfield, saw a charge of possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute and a drug violation near a school or park brought by Westfield police dismissed without prejudice at the request of the Commonwealth.
Steven E. Turrini, 21, of 163 S. Longyard Road, Southwick, was released on pretrial probation and assessed $90 after he was arraigned on two charges of assault and battery and a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon brought by Southwick police.
Bryan J. Reno, 24, of 98 Union Ave., Ludlow, pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering a vehicle in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony brought by Westfield police and was sentenced to a ten month term in the house of correction, with credit for time served awaiting trial since Jan. 22, 2013, to be served concurrently with a sentence imposed in another case.
Jasmine J. Kaempfer, 23, of 54 Riverside Drive, was held in lieu of $500 cash bail pending an April 9 hearing after she was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery brought by Westfield police.
