Giovanni Martinez, 37, of 51 Laurel St., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 3 hearing after being arraigned on a charge of shoplifting by asportation, amended to third of subsequent offense, brought by Southwick Police.

Victor M. Martinez, 22, of 62 Washburn St., Springfield, was held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $10,000 personal surety pending a June 23 hearing after being arraigned on charges of violate abuse prevention order and intimidate witness/juror/police/court official, brought by Westfield Police.

Freddie Perez, 28, of 116 Byers St., Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending an Aug. 11 hearing after being arraigned on charges of fail to stop for police, unregistered motor vehicle, motor vehicle lights operation, operating motor vehicle with license suspended and number plate violation, brought by Westfield Police.

Jarrett Archambault, 21, of 17 Tyringham Road, had a charge of assault and battery, serious bodily injury, amended to assault and battery, dismissed upon request of victim, and a charge of kidnapping dismissed nolle prosequi, originally brought by Westfield State University Police.

Nicholas Foley, 20, of 47 Arrowhead Road, Seekonk, had a charge of assault and battery, serious bodily injury, amended to assault and battery, dismissed upon request of victim, a charge of kidnapping dismissed nolle prosequi and a charge of person under 21 possessing liquor dismissed if court costs/restitution paid by May 31, 2017, originally brought by Westfield State University Police.

Elizabeth M. Saunders, 51, of 108 Point Grove Road, Southwick, received a one-year sentence to house of corrections suspended for one year with probation after pleading guilty to a charge of operating motor vehicle with license suspended and for operating under the influence, originally brought by Southwick Police.
