1:15 a.m.: Accident, hit-and-run. Police received a report of a fire hydrant that was reportedly hit on Harrison Avenue. No report of a vehicle within the police report. Police had no further information. 

6:31 a.m.: Breaking and entering a motor vehicle, Livingstone Avenue. Police received a report of two vehicles that were allegedly “broken into some time overnight.” Police reported that the vehicles were unlocked and change was possibly stolen. Police are investigating. 

8:25 a.m.: Arrest, Medeiros Way. Police reported that they arrested Freddie Perez, 28, of Springfield, after they recognized him as being the operator of the vehicle that police stopped the day before. The suspect from that stop had reportedly fled the scene through a wooded area off Southampton Road. Police charged Perez with failure to stop for police, unregistered motor vehicle, motor vehicle lights violation, operate motor vehicle with license revoked as a habitual traffic offender, number plate violation and four warrants. 

12:10 p.m.: Breaking and entering motor vehicle, Sackett Street. Police received a report of a vehicle that was reportedly “broken into and ransacked.” Police reported that the vehicle was unlocked but nothing was believed to be stolen. Police are investigating. 

4:26 p.m.: Accident, Springfield Road. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2001 Pontiac Gran Am and a Honda, unknown model. One vehicle was towed but no injuries were reported. 

10:11 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Springfield Road. Police reported that they stopped a vehicle that was reportedly going 60 MPH in a 40 MPH zone. Upon stopping the vehicle the operator reportedly had a revoked license. Police arrested Traci R. Logudice, 35, of Springfield, and charged her with operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended as a habitual traffic offender, speeding and registration not in possession.
