Brandon Brown, 18, of 15 Jefferson St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of breaking and entering a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony and larceny of property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for six months by Judge Philip A. Contant. He was assessed $90. In a separate case also brought by Westfield Police, Brown submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of breaking and entering a building in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony and larceny of property valued more than $250 and the charges were again continued without a finding with probation for six months. He was assessed an additional $90.
Colin J. Hannifan, 19, of 28 Hancock St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan. 7 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of receiving stolen property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police.
Concepcion Marquez, 23, of 111 Elizabeth Ave., was released on her personal recognizance pending a Jan. 9 hearing after she was arraigned on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and aggravated assault and battery brought by Westfield police.
Allen Cordero, 29, of 126 Union Street, submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of shoplifting by asportation brought by a Springfield Road department store and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed $50. In a separate case also brought by the store, Cordero submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for charges of larceny of property valued more than $250 and malicious destruction of property valued less than $250 and the charges were again continued without a finding with probation for one year. He was assessed an additional $90.
Steven John Griffin, 56, of 24 Day Ave., was released on his personal recognizance pending a Jan 9 hearing after he was arraigned on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person older than 14 years-of-age brought by Westfield police.
