SOUTHWICK – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School girls’ volleyball team is currently enrolled in a history lesson, and the Rams are receiving passing grades.
Southwick kept its historic first-ever playoff bid alive with a sweep of Putnam Thursday, 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.
Hannah Sitler spearheaded the Southwick offense with 11 kills, two aces, and two digs. Sophomore Ashley Consolini added three kills and one ace, and Alina Kukharchuk delivered four aces and two kills. Junior Hannah Dziadzio was very strong from the service line with five aces.
Southwick needs just two more wins to qualify for the WMass tourney.
Putnam’s Anexis Mirauda finished with five kills, three aces, and six digs. Beavers’ Angelica Merced contributed 14 assists and four aces.
