Congamond meeting open to the public

SOUTHWICK  –  Citizens Restoring Congamond (CRC) will meet Tuesday, Oct 20 at 7:30 p.m. at The Cove, 90 Point Grove Rd. in Southwick, with guest speaker Eric Mueller.
An update on upcoming events, lake health, and weed treatment is on the agenda, as well as a vote for secretary and treasurer.
The CRC has a busy fall, with several upcoming events. The Boat & Automotive Swap Meet Fundraiser is the first event.
On Sunday, Oct. 25, CRC will host a swap meet fund raiser at Babb’s Park, 433 Babb’s Road in West Suffield. This will be the fifth annual auto swap meet held at Babb’s. This auto meet has become a yearly destination for car enthusiast’s looking for that “certain part”.
“We normally have a good selection of parts for both vintage and current models, as well as an eclectic selection of flea market goods,” states the CRC website. “We also offer a car coral to display and sell yours. This year we are adding marine, boating and water sports to the mix. Being our first attempt at this we are hoping for a good turnout. Bring in your boating and water sport equipment, sell them and give them a new lease on life. Those life and ski jackets your kids have outgrown. Those old marine gauges and boating accessories taking up room in your garage or basement can be turned into cash. Maybe you have an entire boat to sell? Do it there!”
For more info on the boating swap, call Ron at 413-537-1694 or call George for automotive details at 860-614-8374.
The swap is set for 8a.m.-4p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 8, Citizens Restoring Congamond will host “The Little Black Dress” fashion show at The Cove Banquet Facility.
The doors open at noon for shopping with a cash bar available. The buffet luncheon starts at 12:30. The fashion show runs from 1:30-3 p.m. at which time the apparel shown will once again be available for purchase. The Little Black Dress store will also be raffling off a $50 gift certificate for future purchases at their Enfield location. Tickets are $30 which includes the luncheon. and are available at The Cove or on line below through Paypal.
