Dodie Doake

WESTFIELD: Dodie Doake, 56, a lifelong resident of Westfield, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Born to Stevenson “Steve” and Helen Doake, she was a graduate of Westfield High School. She was the long-time office manager at North Amherst Motors/Potters Collision. Dodie was very active with Westfield Youth Football, Westfield High Football Booster Club and the Westfield High School German Exchange club. Dodie leaves her husband Paul White and two sons, Raymond Flagg and Alexander Flagg. She was predeceased by her sister Diane and her parents. Dodie wants to thank Drs. Lindsay Rockwell from Cooley Dickenson’s oncology department and Jeffery Clark from Mass General’s gastric oncology department for the outstanding care they provided her while she battled stage 4 cancer for seven years. She also wants to thank the nurses from Baystate Hospice. Knowing that her immune system was different than many, she graciously donated her body to Mass General Hospital so others may be helped by research into stomach cancer.

A celebration of her life will be held at East Mountain Country Club in Westfield at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Firtionadams.com
