
WESTFIELD – Dorothy F. Tobias, 86, passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2026. She was born on September 11th, 1939, in Westfield to the late Raymond and Florence (Buynicki) Holmes. Dottie attended Westfield High School and graduated with the Class of 1957.
Dorothy worked for many years with American Motorized Security Associates (AMSA) where she worked with the armored car division servicing ATMs. She also worked in the shipping and receiving department at Caldor Department Store for seven years and later worked at Ames Department Store for two years. She was a devoted member of the Rosary Society at Holy Trinity Church. Her love of family and social gatherings evolved into yearly family reunions which brought her immense joy.
To cherish her memory, Dottie leaves her loving children, David J. Wagner and wife Jodi of Granville and Laura A. Torres and husband Nelson of West Springfield. She also leaves her brother, Raymond Holmes, Jr. and his wife Karen of Westfield. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter, Dorothy “Dolly” Iglesias and her nephew, Daniel Holmes. Dottie was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Daniel Iglesias, Kathryn Wagner and James Wagner. She also leaves a nephew, Matthew Holmes, along with friends and family.
The funeral mass for Dottie will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Westfield. Calling hours will precede the mass from 9-10 a.m. in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA.
