Dear Editor,
I would like to thank all the restaurants who provided free meals to veterans today, especially Applebees. I was overwhelmed when the waitress brought me hand-made thank you cards from Olivia and Taylor at Southampton Road Elementary. It must have taken them a long time to make all of those, as the waitresses were handing them out to all vets. It may have taken 40 years to happen, but it was wholeheartedly appreciated.
