Edwin “Ted” Bishop

WESTFIELD: Edwin “Ted” Bishop (1928-2021) passed away peacefully surrounded by his Soldier’s Home family on October 8th. He was born in Westfield on August 30, 1928 to the late Samuel and Grace (Wills) Bishop. Ted retired from a career as a school teacher at the Westfield Vocational High School. He loved to be in the woods or out fishing with a friend. He enjoyed traveling across the country several times with his wife Ann and finding adventures that took him from Alaska to the big sky country of Montana. Dad liked helping people and his strongest belief was if you could help one person each day, then that day was well spent. Known to tell a joke or two, he laughed right up until his last moments and he lived until it was time to go. Our deepest gratitude to Carrie, Paulette, Wayne, and the entire caretaking team.

He was predeceased by his wife Ann M. Bishop, his son Daniel J. Bishop, his brother Samuel Bishop, and many of his Zawada family in-laws. He is survived by his daughters, Marianne Swanson (Dan) and Ellen Emmonds, his son James Bishop (Lisa), his daughter-in-law Ruth Bishop, his grandchildren, Nathan, Sara, Isaac, Scott, Cindy, Claudia, Lupe, Maria, and his brother-in-law Fred Sico.

All services for Ted will be private. www.firtionadams.com
