Wow, how time flies.
It’s already the quarter point of the NFL season so what better way than to spend the next several seconds (or rather inches of text) by recapping the first four weeks of our “Beat the Putz” pro football contest.
Mark Kielbasa (Westfield) stormed out of the gates with a sterling 12-1 record. But in Week 2, Donna Johnson (Southwick) soared to the top of the pack with an unbeaten 14-0 mark. The impressive resume of picks continued as Susan Janisieski compiled a 13-1 record in Week 3. And while I toiled in misery (6-7) this past Sunday, Scott Egleston (Westfield) was our latest winner to claim the weekly prize. Egleston was 11-2.
Who is ready to take the next step in our challenge? What records lie ahead? Dive into this week’s contest form.
Week 5 features a solid slate of marquee games, including the Pats at Cincinnati, New Orleans at Chicago, Baltimore at Miami, Green Bay at Detroit, Seattle at Indy, Denver at Dallas, and our Sunday night tiebreaker, Houston at San Fran.
Go Patriots, and good luck everyone!
Egleston wins; 1st quarter over
