Elaine M. Netzer

SOUTHWICK – Elaine Marie (Grenier) Netzer, 69, of Southwick, passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Westfield, MA on October 7, 1943 to the late Richard and Emily (Krzesicki) Grenier, she was raised in Westfield and graduated from St. Mary’s High School.
Elaine was employed by the Holyoke News for many years and had also worked at the former Ox Yoke Originals and Noble and Cooley Drum Shop. Elaine had a great love for the outdoors, enjoying bird watching and gardening. She also loved Native American History. Elaine was devoted to her children and enjoyed a unique and special relationship with her three fortunate grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Netzer in 1991. She is survived by her daughters, Andrea Warriner and her husband Daniel of Southwick and Caron Dewey and her husband Jim of Worthington, MA; her brother, Phillip Grenier and his wife Margaret of Staten Island, NY; her sister, Regina Grenier of Southwick; and especially her beloved grandchildren, Amanda Dewey, Denis Pelletier and Michael Dewey; several nieces and nephews and her dog, Tinky.
Family and friends are invited to meet for a period of visitation on Saturday, January 26th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, followed by a Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Southwick Congregational Church, 488 College Highway. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to the Therapeutic Equestrian Center, 537 Northampton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
