Elsie M. Miller

SOUTHWICK – Elsie M. Miller, 89, passed away on April 27, 2018. Born in Wethersfield, CT on August 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Claire (Besaw) Dittman. For many years, she was an active communicant of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Southwick and was one of the founding members of the church. She was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Elsie will be fondly remembered by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her first husband, Alby T. Paul, her son John Paul, step-son Michael Miller, granddaughter Amber Ronzoni, sister Dorothy Spellman and her brother Thomas Dittman, she leaves loving husband Robert L. Miller of Southwick; children James Paul and his wife Melanie of Mt. Vernon, NH, Thelma Adair and her husband Green of Goffstown, NH, Mark Paul and his wife Diane of Chicopee, Marie Koruba and her husband Ken of Medford, NJ, Valerie Lucca and her husband Anthony of Westfield, Rita Tumolo and her husband Richard of N. Granby, CT and Joseph Paul and his wife Patricia of Holyoke; grandchildren Rebecca Branscombe, Amanda Moriarty, Lisa Gopfert, Justin Ronzoni, Anthony Casale and Adrea Adair; great grandchilren Erynne Moriarty, Isabella Ronzoni and Carson Cloutier, as well as her dear friend Rose Cecere, who was known to the family as “Aunt Rose”.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Deacon Dave Przybylowski at Our Lady of the Lake Parish for tending to Elsie’s spiritual needs over the years.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway Southwick, MA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 beginning at 8:45 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Parish, 224 Sheep Pasture Road, Southwick, MA. Burial will be in New Cemetery, Southwick. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452 or Our Lady of the Lake Parish.
