I was recently asked how I fared this past weekend. My response – “I lost only one game a week ago.”
Much like the Patriots, my fortunes changed in Week 13. I suffered my worst week of the season at 4-8. Tom Brady and me took a back seat to our worthy opponents.
Nearly 98 percent of our “Beat ‘The Putz’” pro football contest entrants qualified for the grand prize drawing. All it took was five wins. Call it an early Christmas gift of sorts.
John Pelli, of Westfield went 10-2 and survived the tiebreaker with 48 points for his second straight victory of the season. Congratulations.
Bill Belichick and me will need to step up our games in Week 14. The Patriots travel to San Diego to take on the Super Chargers. I will travel all the way to my couch to catch the action.
