Glenice J. Ingalls

WESTFIELD – Glenice Jane (Hunt) Ingalls 89, of Westfield, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in Westfield. She was born on August 13, 1929 in Brattleboro, VT daughter of the late Dewey and Ione (Pearson) Hunt. She graduated from Brattleboro High School in Vermont in 1947 and was its class secretary and organized their class reunions for close to seventy years. Glenice married Robert P. Ingalls on October 20, 1951, lived in Springfield for a short time, later moving to Westfield to raise her family. She worked for Chapman Fuel, Commercial Distributing and later as a Home Health Aid. Glenice enjoyed YMCA Classes, golf and volunteering in schools. She was an avid reader and a New England Patriots “Gronk” Fan. Her husband Robert of sixty-four years died on August 5, 2015. Glenice is survived by sons Scott Ingalls and his wife Sally of Southwick, Kurt Ingalls and his wife Sandra of Enfield, CT, and daughter Jane Raymond of Westfield. She also leaves her grandchildren Julie Ingalls, William Ingalls (Courtney), Kristen Conroy, Robert Conroy (Jill), Erin Major (Nick), Kara Ingalls (Chris), two great granddaughters, Taylor Driscoll and Abigail Conroy, sister-in-law Barbara Hunt and many nieces and nephews. Glenice also leaves long- time friends Lou and Roger Jenkins of New York State, Barb Brown of Russell and the ladies in the YMCA Golf League. She was pre-deceased by in-laws Harold and Charlotte Ingalls, her brothers Stuart and Norman Hunt, Brothers and sisters in laws Margaret Hunt, Gordon and Gladys Spaulding, Charles and Patricia Clark and son in law Bill Raymond.
