Grace Loe-Sack-Sioe

Loe-Sack-SioeWESTFIELD – Grace “Annette” Loe-Sack-Sioe, 89, of Westfield, died Monday, July 8, 2013 in Noble Hospital. She was born in Trinidad, West Indies on November 19, 1923, daughter of the late Reginald and Ethelda (Chan) Loe-Sack-Sioe.
She grew up in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and attended Bishop Anstey High School in Port-of-Spain and was the recipient of the prestigious Island Commonwealth Scholarship. Annette worked for the British West Indian Airways (Trinidad), Secretary to Chair Person, Caribbean Commission (Puerto Rico), and was a Personnel Officer for the International Monetary Fund (Washington D.C.) for 18 years, retiring in 1983. She lived in Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. for most of her life before moving to Westfield in 2011. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Ranch Golf Club in Southwick. Annette enjoyed traveling, cooking and taking care of her family.
She leaves three sisters, Lynne Anne McDermott and her husband Edward, former Mayor of Westfield, Sr. Reina Loe-Sack-Sioe of Port of-Spain, Trinidad and Dorothy Gunn of Maraval, Trinidad. She also leaves three nephews, John Stevenson of Atlanta, GA, and Mark and Gregory Loe of Trinidad; five nieces, Sr. Annette McDermott of Springfield, Suzanne Murphy of Wilbraham, Wendy Philipps of Westfield, Vanda Kelley of Stone Mountain, GA and Marlene Pires of Trinidad. Annette was predeceased by one brother, Reginald (Ken) Loe and two sisters, Hermine Stevenson, Madeline Loe-Sack-Sioe and a nephew Paul Loe.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
