GRANVILLE – The Massachusetts State Police and the Granville Police Department received a report of an assault on Sunday around 6 p.m. in the East Granville area.

Raethyn Humason, a 21-year-old male of Granville, was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim was an 18-year-old male who suffered multiple lacerations and was transported to Noble Hospital where he was treated.
On Monday, the Massachusetts State Police found Humason at his place of residence and were able to arrest him without incident.
“We were just happy that we were able to apprehend the suspect,” said Lt. Rick Rindels.
Rindels added that Humason had no criminal history prior to this and it’s a first-time offense.
