WESTFIELD – Westfield State University senior Monique Groux (Agawam, Mass.) and freshman Kaylin Carpenter (Tyngsboro, Mass.) were named the Little East Conference Diver and Rookie Divers of the Week, as announced by the conference earlier today.
Groux was named LEC Diver of the Week after winning the one-meter event with a score of 216.35 and posting a top score of 228.55 on the three-meter board in the Owls’ 123-86 dual meet victory over UMass Dartmouth on Saturday. This marks the fourth weekly LEC honor of the season for Groux.
Carpenter was named LEC Rookie Diver of the Week after placing second on the one-meter board with a score of 169.70 in the meet on Saturday.
The women’s swimming and diving team heads back to the pool this Saturday, December 8 as they visit Plymouth State, with the meet scheduled for 1:00 p.m. – Courtesy of Westfield State University Sports
