Harry Russell Holmes
September 20, 1964 – March 26, 2025
HUNTINGTON – Harry Russell Holmes, a pure, true, gentle cowboy, born and raised in his childhood home in Huntington, MA, gained his wings at age 60 and flew to heaven to be with his entire family in the sky.
Son of Joan and Gabby Holmes, he leaves behind his cousin Amanda Ouellette Sullivan, Uncle George, and close friend Tim Sullivan.
Harry attended a day program (Sunshine Village and CHD), where he had many friends, such as Karen Rockwell, and other wonderful staff who held his hand through thick and thin, helping him succeed in life mentally, physically, and emotionally. His passion for country music was the foundation of his happiness. The TV shows Andy Griffith and Gunsmoke could be the topic 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. His smile while singing Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” would light up a room. Now in heaven singing with his family like the good ol’ days.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Sunshine Village, ATTN DONATIONS, 75 Litwin Lane, Chicopee, MA 01020, or online at www.sunshine.us
