Isidoro Proietti

Isidoro Proietti, 76, of Westfield, passed away peacefully on his own terms in his favorite place at home on October 4th 2018. Isidoro, the son of the late Deodato Proietti and Cesira (Macali) Proietti, was born in Maenza Italy on July 31st 1942. Isidoro worked as a chrome polisher for the Fiat Auto Corporation in Torino, Italy before immigrating to Gloversville, New York in 1971 with his pregnant wife and young daughter. He worked in the leather industry for 10 years before opening Agnese’s Pizzeria in Gloversville. He moved his family to Westfield in 1983 and worked as a chrome plater for Columbia Manufacturing before opening another pizzeria also called Agnese’s Pizzeria in Chicopee. After selling a second successful business he worked various construction jobs before retiring. He spent his last years fishing, gardening, and making wine. He loved entertaining friends and family with great food, Italian music, and homemade wine. Above all, Isidoro cherished his grandchildren who he was and will always be their Nonno. Isidoro leaves his wife Agnese of 54 years. His children, Cesira Kelleher and her husband Kyle of Southwick. Angelo Proietti and his wife Christina of Southwick. Beloved grandchildren Isabella and Luca Proietti, Dario Williams, his partner Cynthia Barton and their daughter, Isidoro’s great-granddaughter Novaleigh. Calling hours will be Thursday, October 11 from 4-7 pm at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, Westfield. Private Burial. Flowers are welcome, but contributions may be made in his name to Baystate Hospice.
