Jacqueline A. (Moran) Walls

Flower ButterflyJacqueline A. “Jackie” (Moran) Walls, 83, of East Hartford, CT beloved wife of the late David A. Walls, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Riverside Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford, CT surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born in Akron, OH and was the oldest of four daughters born to the late Edward and Clara Mae Moran of Westfield, MA. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Westfield, MA., Class of 1949. An East Hartford, CT resident since marrying in 1952, Jackie worked in the East Hartford school system at Norris Elementary School for many years as a Paraprofessional and Librarian until her retirement. Most of all Jackie loved being a mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen W. Altieri and her husband, John, of New Britain, CT; her three sons, Michael E. Walls and his wife, Debbie, of East Hartford, CT; Steven L. Walls and his wife, Gail, of Plainville, CT;  John D. Walls and his wife, Debbie Beaulieu, of East Hartford, CT; her three sisters, Mary Breau and Carol Wood of Westfield and Karen and and Alan Leisegang of Colorodo.  She also leaves her five grandchildren, Sarah Walls and her fiancée, Matthew White, Kyle Walls, Katie Harris and her husband Brian, Nina Altieri, and Matthew Walls;  and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Jackie also leaves behind her best friend, Donna McKinney. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Charles Brow and Herb Woods.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 8th with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the Church on Friday morning). Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford, CT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jackie’s name may be made to the Norris School Student Activities Fund, 40 Remington Road, East Hartford, CT 06108. Jackie’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff at Riverside Health Care and Rehabilitation Center for their professionalism and loving care given to Jackie and her family.
