Jesse D. Chechile

WESTFIELD: Jesse D. Chechile, 24, (1997 – 2021) passed away on December 30, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA on March 25, 1997 to Michael C. Chechile and Krista D. (Yefko) Chechile, he attended Westfield Schools and graduated from Westfield High School.

Jesse was so proud to recently secure his job at Millennium Power and referred to it as his “best job ever, it doesn’t seem like I’m going to work, it feels like I’m getting paid to go hang out with my friends”

His loves in life were, his family, cars, fishing/kayaking and cooking, and sending pics of his creations. His happiness came from giving the people in his life happiness. He would gladly give up his happiness to give it to others anytime someone was feeling down. He was the Best “Hugger” EVER and had a DEFINITE “Need for Speed” and was most at peace when driving and showing off the cars that he personally modified. Jesse was hardworking and strived to be the best at whatever task he was presented with and always aimed to please. Jesse always wanted everyone to feel comfortable and happy. Just being around him would give even a stranger that feeling. Jesse was a firm believer in living everyday like it was your last and a FREQUENT user of the term “YOLO!” We LOVE you buddy and you will be in our thoughts everyday, all day, and sadly missed by anyone who had the privilege to have had you in their life!

Besides his parents, Jesse leaves his brother Michael “Mickey” Chechile and his wife Renee and his brother, Cooper Chechile; his adored niece Adilynn; his girlfriend Holden Mechachonis, the love of his life; his grandmother Elizabeth Yefko (Meema); his aunts Vicki Yefko and her husband Jon Drake, Lisa Freeman and her fiancé Clarke Boynton, Lisa Wood and her husband Eric, Deneen Hedge and her husband Lance and Renee Yarasavysh and her husband John; his cousin Coral Freeman, as well as several other loving cousins and family members. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Dennis Yefko (Bumpa).

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, January 8, 2021, from 12 – 4 PM at Southwick Forastiere Funeral & Cremation, 624 College Highway, Southwick, MA. There will be a service at 4 PM. For those attending services, masks will be required.

As an avid car enthusiast, contributions can be made in Jesse’s name to the Westfield Technical Academy “Automotive Technology for Repair Program”, 33 Smith Ave., Westfield, MA 01085 for the students that share Jesse’s love for cars.
