John S. Wysocki Sr.

WESTFIELD – John S. Wysocki Sr., 95, died Saturday September 3, 2022 in a local nursing home. He was born on October 16, 1926 to the late Konstanty and Eleanora (Warych) Wysocki. He was a 1945 graduate of Westfield High School and entered the U.S. Army from 1946-1947 during WW-2 serving as Corporal. He owned and operated Wysocki Construction Company for over 50 years.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #124, was a stamp collector and was a New York Yankees Fan. John was an active member of Holy Trinity Church where he was an usher, member of the Holy Name Society and received Holy Name Man of the Year in 2002. He was devoted to the Springfield Diocese and the volunteered for the Catholic Appeals for over 40 years.

He was pre-deceased his beloved wife Marion A (Barcewicz) Wysocki on October 11, 2021. He leaves his loving daughter, Marian O’Krongly and her husband John of Feeding Hills, their children, John O’Krongly, Jr. and his wife Kristen of Feeding Hills, Megan Douglas and her husband Joseph of Feeding Hills and their children, Mackenzie, Kyle and Dylan Douglas and his son John Wysocki, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Westfield and Florida, their children, Alanna Sharon and her husband Adam of Westfield, Gregory Wysocki and his wife Carly of New York and their son Lincoln, and Neal Wysocki (Mackenzie) of Colorado. John is predeceased by his great granddaughter Madelyn Grace O’Krongly his brothers Chester and Stanley Wysocki and sister Mary Lewicki.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St. Westfield followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery Southampton Rd. Westfield. Visiting hours will precede the Mass on Saturday from 9:00-10 AM at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield.
