WESTFIELD: Joseph S. Pazik, 92, of Westfield died Saturday in a local nursing home. He was born in Westfield on September 10, 1922 the son of the late Stanley and Ambrosia ( Balbina ) Pazik and was a graduate of the former Westfield Trade High School. Joseph was an Army veteran of WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart, the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, the American Theater Campaign Ribbon and the Oak Leaf Cluster. He was employed as a machinist at Moore Drop Forge Co, for forty years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Joseph’s National Catholic Church Joseph was an avid golfer and fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He was predeceased by his wife Marie (Fournier) Pazik in 1996. Joseph is survived by his daughter, Susan Bloomrose and her husband Keith of Blandford, three loving  grandchildren, Niki Thayer and her husband Peter, Sara Mahoney and her husband Ryan and Shane Bloomrose and his wife Kate, four great- grandchildren, Jake, Chase, Nolan, and Max, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Stanley and his wife Betty, Elizabeth, Jessie, Anne and Helen and his special friend of twenty years, Mary. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday at 11:30 am at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield. There are no calling hours.
