4:10 p.m.: trespassing, Ponders Hollow Road, area of Tobacco Field Bridge, officer reports observing youths jumping off bridge into Little River, officer informed youths that no swimming and no trespassing signs were posted at the location, youths sent on their way;
4:24 p.m.; motor vehicle violation, area of 281 Elm St., officer reports stopping the operator of a 2007 Chevrolet Equino, citation issued for operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration, statue non-renewable, vehicle towed;
5:57 p.m.: property found, Bates Road, caller reports finding a small safe with items inside, detective dispatched to take custody of the safe;
6:04 p.m. property found, 15 Washington St., citizen came to the station to turn in an ATM card, officer reports leaving a voice mail message for the owner to recover his property;
6:09 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, area of 113 North Elm St., officer reports stopping the operator of a 2008 Subaru for an expired registration, officer called for a tow truck, operator contacted the owner of the vehicle who state she had renewed her registration online, operator requested the officer to check the status for the fourth time, the status came back active, officer reports that the status was expired the first three times he checked the Registry of Motor Vehicle database and suspects the owner renewed the status while the officer was requesting a tow truck, the tow operator informed the operator that she was responsible for the tow, operator called a friend to bring money for the town service;
8:44 p.m.: threat to commit a crime, Paper Mill Road, caller reports being threatened by a family member at the caller’s residence, officer reports speaking with the reporting party who just wanted the information noted;
9:21 p.m.: motor vehicle stop, East Mountain Road, officer reports observing a vehicle stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of Holyoke Road for an extended period of time and that several vehicles were behind the stopped vehicle, officer reports passenger was hanging out the door of the vehicle, officer stopped the vehicle, operator reports passenger was highly intoxicated and called the operator for a ride, officer report passenger had an open container of beer in his possession, passenger cited for possession of an open container, operated cited for allowing a passenger to hang outside the vehicle;
11:46 p.m.: arrest, disturbance, 285 Elm St., officers observing traffic on Elm Street reports a a disturbance across the street at the Fired Up bar, two males were escorted out if the bar by security, additional officer dispatched, males escorted out of the bar threatened the staff and the officers, Jeffrey C. Manley, 36, of 31 Summit Drive, charged with disorderly conduct, trespass and threatening to commit a crime, to wit assault, Miles A. Burns III, 27, of 22 Briarwood Place, charged with disorderly conduct and trespass.
