Kevin Joseph Miller

WESTFIELD – Kevin Joseph Miller, 66, (1957-2023) passed away suddenly on September 17th, 2023. Kevin was born in Westfield MA on February 11th, 1957 to the late Thomas and Kathleen (Martin) Miller. He attended St. Mary’s Parish schools where he excelled in many sports. As a standout basketball player, he achieved All Western-Mass honors and became a member of The 1000-Point Club, scoring over 1,200 points during his high school career. Kevin worked for over 20 years at the United States Postal Service Bulk Mail Center in Springfield before transitioning to logistics at warehouses in Westfield until retirement in 2022. He enjoyed socializing and joking with friends at the City Hotel in Westfield and was a member of The John Boyle O’Reilly Club in Springfield for many years. Kevin was an avid golfer and bowler, loved music, basketball, baseball, and playing cards.

He leaves son Ian Miller of Boxborough MA and daughter Carolyn Miller and her husband Brian Mitchell of West Hartford CT. He is survived by siblings Margaret and her husband Paul Carbonneau, Paul Miller, Thomas and his wife Sue Miller, and Mayre Miller, Aunt Anna Jakus, former spouse Debra (Godin) Gove, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was predeceased by sister Linda Atkins, brother-in-law Thomas Egan, and several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 27th, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, and again on Thursday, September 28th at 9:00 a.m. before leaving in procession to St. Mary’s Parish at 30 Bartlett Street, Westfield, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Westfield.
