Kimberly Dawn (Gogol) Heath

WESTFIELD: It is with incredible sadness that we share the news of the passing of Kimberly Dawn (Gogol) Heath, 49, (1971 – 2021) of Westfield, MA on April 20, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center (Springfield, MA). Kim was born on August 25, 1971, at Noble Hospital, in Westfield, MA to her parents, Gary and Diane (Schultz) Gogol, and was a lifelong resident of the City of Westfield. Kim graduated from Westfield High (Class of 1989), and then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Westfield State University in 1993.
After graduating she worked several years as a Manager in the Computer Department at the VNA in Northampton, MA. However, it was in 1999 that Kim began her most treasured “role” when she became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of her family (as she liked to refer to herself)!
Kim was a wonderfully kind, caring and passionate person, and an incredibly devoted and loving spouse and daughter. To all those who knew her, Kim’s greatest pride and joy was being mom to Drew and Megan.
It was 20 years ago that Kim learned of her serious illness and vowed to be there to raise her children. She fought and won more battles with her health than anyone could ever imagine. She (along with her husband Greg) raised her children to become the strong and mature adults they are today!
Kim’s happiest days were spent with her family, friends, and her many pets (whom she adored) sitting around a campfire, having a cookout, relaxing on a beach, or going for a ride on the “quad”. She loved to sit back and have a good laugh with friends while sipping on a cocktail (full of ice) and listening to some “tunes”.
Kim is survived by her soulmate and beloved husband of 26 years, Greg Heath, and her loving children, Drew and Megan Heath, all of Westfield, MA. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Gary and Diane (Schultz) Gogol of Westfield, MA, as well as many other extended family members and very close friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Steingart, Dr. Frederic Gordon, Dr. Gary Jacobson and Dr. Michael Germain for their dedication, expertise and personal attention in treating Kim throughout the numerous challenges that resulted from Kim’s illness.
Calling hours will be Monday, April 26th from 4-7 PM at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 27th at 11 AM, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield, MA. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Kim’s family has asked that any donation in her honor be made to the Parkinson’s Movement Center – Dopafit, 15 College Highway, Unit C, Southampton, MA 01073, or through their website at dopafit.com. Firtionadams.com
