WESTFIELD – Frank Sposito, president of the Kiwanis Club of Westfield presented a sign congratulating the graduates of Westfield HIgh School, Westfield Technical Academy and St. Mary’s which has been placed on the lawn in front of City Hall this week in their honor.
Mayor Donald F. Humason Jr., Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski and the three high school principals, Charles Jendrysik, Joseph Langone and Matthew Collins were in attendance when it went up on July 23.
Sposito said the Kiwanis Club wanted to recognize the Senior Class of 2020 from the three high schools here in Westfield. WTA and WHS are holding their graduation ceremonies July 30 and 31. St. Mary’s will host its graduation July 31.
Czaporowski said The Kiwanis Club is very active with the schools, sponsoring the Key Club at the high school level, the Builders Club for middle and intermediate school age students and K Kids for the elementary school children. They also sponsor “Words with Friends,” a citywide spelling bee for fourth graders that is held at Westfield State University.
“The banner will be in front of City Hall until Aug. 8 for the community to enjoy, with the intent the graduates stop by to get photos,” Sposito said, adding, “The Kiwanis Club of Westfield wishes the graduating Class of 2020 much success in the future.”
