WESTFIELD – Brittany Kowalski blasted a two-run homer – her second of the season – and three other Bombers had two hits apiece in Wednesday’s 11-4 loss to East Longmeadow.
Westfield’s Karly Mastello reached on all four plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with two walks. Bombers’ Madison Brockney went 2-for-2, and Rachel Sword collected a pair of hits.
Nicole Clemente, Hannah Giffune, and Sam Schieppe also each had a hit for Westfield (2-8).
“We definitely got our bats going today,” said Westfield coach Mary Seid, whose team finished with a total of 10 hits against East Longmeadow. “But we had two untimely errors that sort of broke the game wide open … We’re hoping to come back strong for Chicopee.”
The Bombers and Pacers will meet at Szot Park Friday at 4:30 p.m.
