WESTFIELD – Laura J. (Kalinowski) Bruscoe, 91, of Morningside Drive, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 at home with her son, Thomas, by her side. She was born in Greenfield on November 22, 1921, the daughter of Alexander and Mary (Sadlopki) Kalinowski.
Laura attended local schools in Greenfield and was a graduate of Greenfield High School where she participated in a number of the school’s activities. Laura was a homemaker. Prior to that, she worked for Miner Printing and at the Eastern Textile in Greenfield and had a passion for sewing and gown making. After Laura was married to Thomas H. Bruscoe, they lived in Woronoco before settling in Westfield for 50 years.
Besides her son, Thomas J. Bruscoe, Laura leaves a sister, Marion Pula of Greenfield and ten nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Bruscoe on January 16, 2004. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Steave and Joseph, and three sisters, Helen, Jenny and Alice.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be at the Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in South Deerfield. There are no calling hours
