Westfield – Leslie H. Cowles, 80, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at home. He was born in Westfield on February 4, 1936 to the late Harold and Eugenia (Benoit) Cowles. He was a lifelong resident of Westfield attended local schools and was a 1954 Graduate of Westfield Trade School. He was a U.S Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. Leslie worked at Stevens Paper Mill, H.B. Smith and Retired from Mestek in 2002. He enjoyed his walks in the neighborhood, feeding his birds and was an avid Yankees fan. He leaves his wife of 58 years Theresa A. (Lorenzatti) Cowles, his son James B. Cowles and wife Laura and grandson James R. Cowles all of Westfield, his sister Louise Pierce of Southwick and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother Bruce Cowles. The funeral for Leslie was held on Monday, November 7th at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, Westfield. Burial took place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
