Letter to the Editor: On Trump, Putin and Wall Street

To the Editor,

Hello Westfield, especially, Ward 3; Hi folks…Calling all Independent (unenrolled) Voters…this past week of Democratic debates…as said; with them being trumpsters in how they campaign, they can have a real chance at losing.  So, it may be up to us to come to rescue as we did 245 years ago, and have been throughout much of our history of wars, economic screw ups, and when they deviated from our American principles and practices.  I wonder if I can use the logo “Underdog” along with: “here I come to save the day!” Under dog meaning us again.  Anyway, if they are going to undermine one another, and divide up their base…well you know how that ends up.

OK, it is not like we have not had these squabbles before; it is when they become predatory, and Existential (without moral, or ethical principles; the ME, here and now believers) that they things get real messy, and dangerous for all of the rest of us.  They are the: there is no Heaven or Hell, so why not go for it in the here and now.

I need to point out at least one problem from this past week:  Trump joking with Putin: “Don’t meddle in our elections, please…”  Oh, Putin again said he has not…When if one thing that the Mueller Report had NO question, as did our entire National Security Agencies, is that Russia did meddle, and STILL ARE!  And, that is something to joke about???

One last item in the news, that made me a bit apprehensive, is that Wall Street, et al, have the best ratings since 1928…What about what happened in 1929?!

With so many people claim to be money smart doing so many foolhardy things as with the millions who get scammed every year…please don’t let them take the rest of us down with them.  If we are willing and able to work together…and NOT as a new political party, but as how Americans, real Americans, with real American Exceptionalist Principles have solved our own problems; in spite of political parties, by working together as our shared interest are far greater than our differences.  Back to the New Worlders who had no Party, but did have cause and principles that enabled them to deal with all the problems of starting a new nation the way out lasted what others thought would happen.  And, one since the FDR administration has had the greatest security and economic success that enabled us to change the world, (despite the claims of a braggart president).  If you doubt what we have done just talk with one the seniors as I am; they can tell you how much we endured and how far we  have come despite of all the neigh Sayers and malcontents of our generation.
