Madison L. Hart

HART,MADISON, croppedSOUTHWICK – Madison L. “Maddy” Hart, 21, beloved daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Sarno) Hart, passed away on May 29, 2013 at Boston Children’s Hospital; following a courageous struggle with a life long illness. She Ascended into the Journey of Everlasting Life in the presence of her family to be reunited in heaven with her brother, Nicholas; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline “Jackie” Sarno and paternal grandparents; John and Mary Hart.
Her memory will be cherished by her brother, Adam Hart and his fiancé Katie O’Meara, both of Southwick; her sister, Terri Hart. She was a treasured granddaughter to Dominic Sarno of Agawam; and a devoted aunt to her nephew, Jack. She will be remembered by her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Maddy was born in Springfield on August 7, 1991 but spent the majority of her life in Southwick. Despite her illness, she graduated from Southwick High School. She loved reading history books and enjoyed music. Her favorite topic of history was about her own personal and courageous hero, President John F. Kennedy. She had the honor of having a private tour of his presidential library and private visit of his birthplace. She died on JFK’s birth date.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 4 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Southwick Forastiere Funeral Home, 624 College Highway (Highway 202/10), Southwick.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 5th 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Church, on Sheep Pasture Road in Southwick. Maddy will be laid to rest in New Cemetery, Southwick.
