
BLANDFORD – Marion (Elinskas) (Harden) Warren, 92, formerly of the Broad Brook section of East Windsor, Connecticut, died July 11th, 2026. Marion was born in Hartford, Connecticut on September 2nd, 1933, the daughter of the late Margaret (Morris) (Elinskas) Davis and Stanley Elinskas. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William F. Warren of 22 years of marriage, in March 2012.
Marion, along with her brother Benedict, were raised by a single, courageous, mother in a country setting in Broad Brook, Connecticut, which taught them the love of nature (pigs, chickens, squirrels, raising tobacco). Marion was a graduate of Ellsworth High School, South Windsor, Connecticut; followed by Hartford Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1954. Marion earned a bachelor’s degree from Connecticut State College in 1968. She worked as a Registered Nurse (in various positions) at Hartford Hospital for 35 years. Part-time employment included Conservator Designee, Town of South Windsor, Connecticut, Church Homes of Hartford, Connecticut, GE occupational nurse, Windsor, Connecticut. Marion has been a member of Alumnae Association of Hartford Hospital School of Nursing since 1954.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing and square dancing, listening to music, gardening and nature of all forms—birds, bears, etc. Since childhood, Marion always had a dog in her life; sweet Becky, 17 years old, was her last dog.
At a dance in 1990, she met and married the greatest love of her life, William F. Warren. Marion was predeceased by her beloved mother Margaret Davis in 1988; brother Benedict S. Elinskas in 1997, Father Richard C. Harden in 1986, husband William F. Warren in 2012.
Marion is survived by her loving stepchildren, Margaret Lee, Karen (Gary) Couture, Carl (Susan) Warren, Joan (Rudy) Kana; seven stepchildren, step-nephew Jonathan Liu (Lidia Lee).
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, July 24th, 2026, at St. Catherine Cemetery, 60 Rye Street, Broad Brook, section of East Windsor, CT.
