WESTFIELD – Maureen P. Sabadosa (Canty), 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 21, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family. She was born in Springfield on September 25, 1938 to the late Maurice and Eugenie (Storozuk) Canty.
Maureen attended Springfield Tech High School and graduated in 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper for Fran Johnson’s for 25 years before retiring. Maureen was a longtime member of the Westfield Sons of Erin. She has a passion for golf and enjoyed her day trips with her husband Bill. She also enjoyed traveling to watch her grandson’s baseball games. She enjoyed working in her garden taking care of her flowers.
Maureen leaves her beloved husband of 56 years William L. Sabadosa, Sr., her son William Sabadosa, Jr. and predeceased daughter-in-law Sheila (O’Shea) Sabadosa of Feeding hills and daughter Catherine Bosak of Russell. She also leaves her grandchildren Andrew Bosak, Maureen Hui, Zachary Sabadosa, and Austin Sabadosa. Maureen also leaves her sister-in-law Peggy Canty. She is predeceased by her siblings Micheal, Martin and John Canty. The calling hours will be on Monday, January 6 from 9-11 am in Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
