At approximately 1:24 a.m. Sunday morning, a two-car motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Powder Mill Road and Feeding Hills Road on Rt. 57. Neither of the operators of the vehicles were injured.

Southwick Police received a report at approximately 2:07 a.m. of a one-car motor vehicle accident on South Longyard Road. The operator was traveling south too fast for the conditions and slid across the north bound lane of South Longyard Road. The vehicle then ran off the paved portion of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The vehicle was then stuck in the snow and had to be towed from the scene. There were no injuries involved in the accident.

Shortly thereafter, another accident occurred around 2:10 a.m. on Granville Road. No additional information is available on that accident at this time.

At 8:25 a.m., a vehicle was stuck in the snow on College Highway.

Chief Bishop urges people to be cautious on the roads during storms.

“We’re just asking everybody to continue to drive safe and drop their speed down during the bad weather conditions,” said Bishop.
