MONSON – The Southwick-Tolland Regional High School softball team finally met its match.
Southwick lost a hard-fought 3-2 ballgame on the road at Monson Monday.
Freshman pitcher scattered six hits over seven innings for Southwick. She allowed just one walk, two earned runs, and struck out 11 batters.
Sidney Rogers (hit, run), Sam Bryznski (RBI), Morgan Harriman (triple, run), and Lachtara (RBI) provided the bulk of the Rams’ offense.
Renaissance 13, Westfield Voc-Tech 1 (5 inn.)
Amber Lindsay recorded Voc-Tech’s only hit, a fourth-inning double. Lindsay also scored the team’s only run a fielder’s choice.
“We have to get back in the game,” Tigers’ coach Karen Gomez said. “We’re going to try and bounce back from this loss.”
