Nancy K. Fanion

WESTFIELD: Nancy K. Fanion (84 yrs.) of Westfield, MA, passed away peacefully at home July 27, 2021 surrounded by family. Born in Southampton, MA, to Charles “Ted” and Margaret (Allen) Kelso. She lived most of her life in Wyben (Westfield), MA.

Nancy leaves her loving husband of 64 yrs. and high school sweetheart George Fanion, as well as their three sons, Tommy (wife Karen), David (wife Holly) and Brian (predeceased wife Amy), and eight beloved grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Nancy also leaves sisters Dolly Roy (predeceased brother-in-law Aldor Roy), Camilla (predeceased) and brother-in-law Fred Brewster, Mary and brother-in-law Bill Guertin (both predeceased) and Brother Edward Allen Kelso and sister-in-law Phyllis (both predeceased).

Nancy worked for over 40 years at Woronoco Savings Bank, starting as a teller and working her way up to Vice President of Human Resources. She and George loved traveling and spending time with their growing family during their 24 years of retirement. Nancy’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation and sincere thanks to the many friends, loved ones, and services in the area who have been sources of support and comfort through Nancy’s illness. You were blessings to us all.

Calling hours will be at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, Sunday, August 1st, from 1-4pm. Funeral Monday, August 2nd at 10am at Wyben Union Church (678 Montgomery Rd., Westfield, MA), followed by burial at Middle Farms Cemetery. Family respectfully requests masks be worn due to the recent spike in COVID (masks will be available at the doors of both services).
