Nellie Grimaldi Bonnevie

WESTFIELD – Nellie Grimaldi Bonnevie, 98, was a lifelong resident of Westfield, MA and devout communicant of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church. She was married on December 1, 1945 at Blessed Sacrament to Rene Bonnevie, who died in May 1986. Nellie was also a longtime member of the Schoenstatt Catholic organization. She had a special love for Our Lord and His Blessed Mother. Her work ethic was strong and she retired in 1986 from the Old Colony Envelope Company. Nellie was a loving and feisty wife, mother and Noni. Kisses and hugs were her greetings to all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Guido and Nicoletta Grimaldi, her brothers, Rocco, Antonio, Guido, Tony, Frank, Dominic, Peter, James , Charles and a sister Rose Monczka, also nephews and nieces: Richard , Patricia, Jeanne, and Steven. Left behind are her selfless, caring and very attentive sisters, Antoinette (Dolly), of Westfield, and Mary Camp of Southampton and brother in law Mert Camp. With deep sadness,she will be missed by her three daughters: Nancy Concato and son-in-law Richard, of South Carolina, Maryann Shaw, and Denise Carey and son-in-law Aaron Carey all of Westfield. Noni will be happily and lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren: Carrie Concato Archer (Steve) of St Louis, Joseph Concato of South Carolina, Nina Chaput (Cory) of Westfield, Aaron Shaw (Alexis) of Georgia, Jenessa Blascak (Jim) Westfield, and Jared Carey (Andrea) of Westfield. She also leaves behind four fun great-grandchildren: Brooks and Brinn Blascak and Killian and River Shaw and many loved nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 127 Holyoke Road, Westfield on Monday January 13th at 11 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the Mass on Monday morning at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 9-10:30 am. Donations may be made to Schoenstatt at 163 Sandy Hill Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
