GORHAM, ME – Westfield State men’s soccer fell to Thomas (Me.) College by a 2-0 score on Saturday on the second day of the University of Southern Maine kickoff tournament in Gorham, Me.
The Owls yielded a goal in each half as Thomas’ Kyle Patterson was credited with assists on both goals.
The Terriers out-shot Westfield 11-6, and had a 5-0 edge in shots on goal.
Westfield State drops to 1-1 on the season, while Thomas improves to 2-0.
For the Owls, Ryan Morais (Uxbridge, Mass.), Troy Chaput (West Springfield, Mass.), and Tyler Diotalevi (Ludlow, Mass.) were all named to the all-tournament team. The Owls will be back in action next Saturday, hosting Springfield College at noon on Alumni Field.
