WESTFIELD – Noble Medical Group’s new Primary Care and Express Care facility at 24 North Westfield Street in Feeding Hills is now open.
A grand opening reception was held yesterday. The facility expands Baystate Noble’s current express care program, which includes the original Westfield location that opened in 2013.
Medical Director Dr. Brian Sutton said the facility opened earlier this month to patients and they are drawing people from Agawam and Feeding Hills, Southwick, and Granby and Suffield, Conn.
“This is a great, central location,” said Sutton.
Having urgent care and primary care under one roof is a successful way to offer care.
“Someone may come in for urgent care and we find out they just moved here or their primary care physician retired and we are able to help them with primary care,” said Sutton. “There is a lot of synergy.”
The facility has a blood draw lab and can perform some laboratory services, such as strep and pregnancy tests. The Noble Medical Group’s Primary Care and Express Care also has a radiology department, allowing physicians to treat injuries.
Express Care Manager Kate Dugan said the primary care physicians, Dr. Gary Jacobson, Dr. Ira Nathanson, and Dr. Laura Gioielle, work hand-in-hand with Noble Express Care.
