Season, senior send-offs

WESTFIELD – Westfield went on a 21-10 fourth-quarter run to close out Thursday’s “senior night” girls’ basketball home game against East Longmeadow, and end its regular season on a high note.
Westfield senior Alexa Morin scored a team-high 16 points in her final high school effort. Bombers’ senior Grace Templeton made fourth 3-pointers en route to finishing with 15 points.
Another Westfield senior, Leighanne Sullivan had eight.

Arkoette top Gator
Pathfinder 36, Gateway 33

Maddison Weldon (15 points) and Caleena Welsh (11) combined for 26 of Pathfinder’s 36 points.
Joanna Arkoette led Gateway with 13.

BOYS’ HOOPS
O’Brien leads Bombers
East Longmeadow 64, Westfield 47

John O’Brien led Westfield with 24 points, and Trent Levakis drained a big-time three late.

Butler paces Saints
Franklin Tech 82, St. Mary 48

St. Mary’s Jake Butler scored a game-high 15 points. Drew Collins and Nick Ilnicki finished with 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the Saints.
