12:22 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, Silver Street at Pleasant Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop for excessive speed, the officer reports the operator was found to be a junior operator driving outside of the allowed hours, the youth’s parents were notified and came to take custody of their son and the vehicle;
2:23 a.m.: building check, Bertera Dodge, 167 Springfield Road, a patrol office reports a routine check of the car dealership revealed that a vehicle was propped up on milk crates with all the wheels missing;
8:23 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Court Street, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop of a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker, the officer reports the operator was found to be a physician en route to emergency surgery at Noble Hospital, a verbal warning was issued;
10:21 p.m.: traffic compliant, East Main Street, a caller reports a utility pole has fallen in a parking lot, the responding officer reports it appears as if the pole rotted at the base and that he found that the pole fell when a truck snagged low hanging wires, the manager of an adjacent store said that he had notified a utility company about the wires and was told that the problem had been rectified;
1:45 p.m.: city ordinance violation, North West Road, a code enforcement officer reports he found violations involving junk items on a North West Road property including three refrigerators with doors attached, trash and containers which have collected stagnant water, the health inspector was notified to follow up on the infractions;
4:47 p.m: motor vehicle violation, Main Street, a patrol officer reports that he observed a known person who he believed to be unlicensed operating a motor vehicle, the officer reports a check confirmed his suspicion, the vehicle was stopped, James J. Mason, 48, of 155 Main St., was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle;
5:56 p.m.: breaking and entering, East Silver Street, a resident came to the station to complain that almost $1,000 was stolen from his vehicle, the responding officer reports that the complainant said that he made a withdrawal and left the cash in the center console of his vehicle but forgot to lock the vehicle when he did some shopping, the man said when he returned to his vehicle he found the cash missing;
10:54 p.m.: liquor law violations, Washington Street at Church Street, a community policing officer reports a liquor law violation, the CP officer reports two city ordinance violation citations were filed.
