Emergency Response and Crime Report

1:49 a.m.: motor vehicle violation, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports he observed a motor vehicle operating without headlight and stopped it at the National Guard Bridge, the operator offered international driving documents but was found to have been a Springfield resident for at least three years, Marvin Roblero-Ramirez, 24, of 114 Grover St., Springfield, was arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and for a motor vehicle lights violation;
4:45 a.m.: found property, Union Street, patrol officers report finding a purple mountain bike on the side of the road, the bicycle was transported to the station for safe keeping;
8:18 a.m.: vandalism, Southampton Road, a caller reports vandalism at a trucking company, the responding officer reports that graffiti was applied to two vehicles overnight but workers were able to clean the vehicles, no formal report was required;
2:26 p.m.: city ordinance violation, Sunset Drive, a code enforcement officer reports he assisted the building inspector at a residence on Sunset Drive, the officer reports that an inoperable car and auto parts which had been observed previously are still at the address, the condition of the property was documented;
3:52 p.m.: larceny, Powder Mill Village, 126 Union St., a resident came to the station to report that his former girlfriend used his debit card without authority, the responding officer reports the complainant said that during their relationship his girlfriend repeatedly used his debit card to make car payments, the man said that the woman has reimbursed him for one of the charges but he has not been compensated for the others;
4:12 p.m.: disturbance, Southampton Road, a caller reports her 17-year-old son is not welcome at her residence but won’t leave, the responding officer reports that the boy said he went to the residence to return borrowed property but was denied entry, the boy’s mother said that she wanted to serve her son with a ‘No trespassing’ order, the officer advised the woman that since her son is a resident of her house she cannot summarily eject him but must complete the eviction process through the court, the boy was provided a courtesy transport to his father’s home;
7:49 p.m.: assist other police department, a Southwick officer called to report that his department has probable cause to arrest a Westfield resident for violation of an abuse prevention order and asked that city officers attempt to locate and arrest the suspect, the responding officers reports that Christian W. Trusty, 34, of 15 Fowler St., was found at his home and arrested without incident;
9:14 p.m.: breaking and entering, Sibley Avenue, a caller reports that his home was broken into a short time earlier, the responding officer reports the caller said that he was away from his home for about 40 minutes and when he returned he found a window in his door had been shattered to allow somebody to reach inside and unlock the door, the victim said that property including a tablet computer, a video game system, two iPods, a knife, cash and jewelry were stolen, a State Police K-9 team responded to assist with a search of the area which did not reveal a suspect, an officer reports finding a backpack containing a video game system but it did not match the description provided by the victim;
11:26 p.m.: noise complaint, Hampden Street, a caller reports noise from a party nearby is disturbing their peace, the responding officer reports about 70 college aged revelers were found at the address, two tenants were advised of the complaint and dispersed their guests.
