Pamela J. Wheeler

Middlefield, MA – Pamela J. (Shedd) Wheeler, 54, passed away on Friday, November 11th, 2016. Born in Westfield, MA on November 22, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur L. Shedd Jr. and Eunice (Coons) Shedd. She grew up as a classic Chester girl and moved to Middlefield in 1990. She was part of the class of 1979 at Gateway and then received her legal secretary certificate from St. John’s School of Business. Once establishing her career, she received her paralegal certificate from Westfield State. She was most recently employed by Attorney Richard Pesto of Westfield. Pamela leaves her husband of 34 years, Ted Wheeler; her son, Daniel Wheeler of Middlefield, her daughter Samantha Wheeler and boyfriend Matthew Riley of Holden. She also leaves her brother Geoffrey Shedd of Chester; her sister, Wilma Sudyka of Chester; her brother-in-law Paul Wheeler of Easthampton  and her sister-in-law Raeh Best of West Springfield; along with several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her four cats that she loved very much; Zoey, Joey, Turbo and Leo. She was an avid baker and loved cooking, especially for the people she loved.

A service to pay respects will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 2:00pm at the Middlefield Congregational Church, followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Middlefield Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 127, Middlefield, MA 02143. O’Brien Hilltown Funeral Home in Huntington is in charge of the arrangements.
