Parking Ban

WESTFIELD – City officials issued the first parking ban of the season and the snow emergency plowing plan for off-street municipal parking lots.

Due to the expected snow Saturday into Sunday there will be a parking ban put into effect beginning Saturday December 9, 2017 at 12 PM (Noon) and will remain in place until further notice. Core municipal parking lots are plowed after a snowstorm ends and after the snow emergency parking lots are plowed. Call the snow emergency phone number (642-9411). This phone number is also located on red letter snow emergency signs in the parking lot. Snow emergencies are called just after a snowstorm ends or just as it is ending. The phone recording will report when vehicles can move to the emergency snow lots. Motorists cannot move their vehicles to the emergency snow lots until the recording permits.

Emergency snow lots are the following: Arnold Street gravel lot (accessed from Church Street), Main Street/Restaurant lot, Riverwalk lot (accessed from Meadow Street), and Railroad Avenue lot (accessed from Railroad Avenue).

Motorists may return to their regular parking lot once the lot is completely plowed.
