Patricia Lee “Patti” Hatmaker

WESTFIELD: Patricia Lee “Patti” Hatmaker died Oct. 5, 2021 from several health concerns that would have taken her life sooner if she wasn’t so resilient and stubborn.

Born Nov. 26, 1952 in Bronx, New York, Patti was her parents’ Thanksgiving blessing.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Patricia Murray and her sister Ginny Perrott.

Patti lived in New York until moving to Massachusetts in the late 70s. Although she lived most of her life here, she was a proud New Yorker and an avid Yankees and Giants fan. She worked as a nurse’s aide in several Westfield nursing homes until earning her Associate’s Degree in business. She was the secretary at St. Mary’s High School for many years. Patti spent the rest of her career at Aero Fastener until her retirement.

In her younger years, Patti enjoyed camping with her late husband Charlie Hatmaker and friends. She enjoyed spending time at the Sons of Erin where she raised a glass of Gentleman Jack. She loved to play cards and take trips to Cape Cod with her dear friend Pat. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Patti leaves her daughter Hope (Murray) Tremblay and her husband Dennis, of Westfield, her grandchildren, Hannah (husband Theo Perry), Ryan and Shayne, her sisters Michelle Barthelette and her husband Tom, of Myrtle Beach, Chris Carr of Westfield, and Lisa Broderick of Alabama, a brother, Bill Murray, of Northampton, her nieces and nephews and many cousins whom she said were her first friends.

Visiting hours and funeral service are Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 South Broad St. in Westfield. Contributions in Patti’s name can be made to St. Mary’s High School, 27 Bartlett St., Westfield, MA 01085.
