Pauline V. Maloney

WESTFIELD: Pauline V. Maloney died in the comfort of her loving family on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the age of 84. Born in West York, PA in 1931, she moved to Latvia with her parents Stanley and Veronika and brother Justin Pronckietis. At the age of 15 she moved to Westfield and was crowned Miss Westfield. In 1951 she married Edmund L. Maloney II, her loving husband for 57 years, who predeceased her in 2008. Together they raised 5 children while starting a family business dealing in antiques and collectibles and eventually property maintenance. Some may remember the lively Saturday night auctions held outdoors under a large tent on Meadow Street where she assisted her auctioneer-husband. She was a member of the Hampton Ponds Women’s Club for many years. She was a wonderful cook, skilled gardener and earned a Master Gardener certificate. She moved to Cape Cod to live with her daughters in 2009.

She leaves her children: Linda V. Maloney-Tarvers, Christine J. Maloney-Sieger, Edmund L. Maloney III, Raymond J. Maloney and David B. Maloney, Daughers-in-Law Emma Maloney and Margaret Kennedy, Sons-in-Laws Richard Sieger and Michael Tarvers and Brother and Sister-in-Law Gary and Marie Maloney.

She also leaves 8 grandchildren: Dr. Matthew Sieger, Christopher Halla, Nathan Maloney-Tarvers, Mandy and Megan Maloney, Erin Kennedy-Mason and Patrick and Sean Kennedy and numerous beloved great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful mother and adored by all her grandchildren. She truly touched the lives of all who knew her. Private services will be held by her family.
