WESTFIELD – Posted public hearings at the Tuesday, June 18 Planning Board meeting in will begin with the continuation of a special permit and site plan for Clean Technique, Inc., a marijuana processing business to be located at 32 Char Drive.
The hearing is in room 207 in City Hall
At the first hearing on May 21, biochemist/engineer Robert Pervere said the Clean Technique team wanted to use their strong scientific and academic backgrounds to increase the quality of legal cannabis currently making its way into the Massachusetts market. The facility will be dedicated to the extraction, isolation and purification of therapeutic compounds within cannabis into a pharmaceutical quality cannabis oil, according to Pervere at the meeting.
Other posted hearings include a special permit for 45 Otis St. for a side-yard reduction for two-family dwellings, and a site plan for a self-storage facility at 264 Lockhouse Road.
A special permit, site plan and stormwater permit will also be presented for a multifamily development at 110 Lockhouse Road.
Pending applications for all permits before the Planning Board are available for public review on the city website at www.cityofwestfield.org under the Planning Department, Pending Applications.
