9:25 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. Police received a report from a resident who claimed that they paid a deposit to a contractor for work but they have not returned since to do said work. Police are investigating and no further information was provided.
6:08 p.m.: Motor vehicle violation and arrest, Russellville Road and Montgomery Road. Police stopped a vehicle after they reported that it allegedly had a brake light out. Upon inputting the driver’s information into the police computer system, it was found that the operator, Kenny L. Almanzar, 19, of Springfield, was reportedly unlicensed. Police arrested Almanzar and charged him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
9:11 p.m.: Suspicious and arrest, Whitney Playground, Shepard Street. Police initially went to the playground after reportedly noticing “two suspicious vehicles.” After investigating, police arrested Joseph E. Escobar, 27, of Westfield, and Jake W. Spradlin, 23, of Westfield, and charged both with trespassing.
